I mourn Officer Gabe Valdez
I learned only recently that Police Officer Gabe Valdez (New Mexico State Police, ret.), passed away late August. I have had the privilege to meet this very fine gentleman several times, October 1988-December 1989. He and his wife, Margie, had greeted us (me & my then wife), in their home in Dulce, NM.
I last see him, in his new found home in Albuquerque, NM, just before my departure from the States. I could only simply present him with a book by a Mr. Steinman, where he was quite honorably quoted. I deeply regret the trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, which we were supposed to make by car, and which did not happen that way...
I respectfully present my very sincere condolences to his family. May this kind and brave man rest in peace,
